Practicly Un-Useable Internet**

(From the site)

How fast is the GoMoorhead.com Internet service?

GoMoorhead.com Basic Service customers should experience average speeds of 1 Mbps, which is at least 20 times faster than dial-up connections that generally run at about 50 kbps. GoMoorhead.com Deluxe Service customers should experience speeds of 2 Mbps, which is at least 40 times faster than dial-up connections.

However, speed is dependent on several factors including the number of simultaneous users on the system and the user’s location in relation to an access point.

* Actual connections speeds will vary depending on network traffic, number of active access points, and the user’s system hardware. All GoMoorhead.com customers are subject to bandwidth restrictions. Please refer to the GoMoorhead.com Fair Access Policy (FAP) for more information on transfer speeds and bandwidth limitations.

I was unable to find the FAP.

**Yes, I rebooted/reseated everything. I just wish I had an idea as to why the trace resolved to 74.x.x.x and the ping 209.x.x.x (even if it is a google address)— something fishy!

Dooin Laundry

10$ a week is an allright deal for laundry, isn’t it?

I liked it better when there was Santana on the stereo here:

(represented below by the late Tito Puente, which not only has a superior version, but also wrote the original many years before Santana covered it. While Santana wanders around the stage looking really really high, Tito gets down!!!)

it gave it that lower class barrio vibe (especially with how hot is it in here)…

But I guess when it comes right down to it – given the region I live in- the Bob Seger that came on after it is probably the more appropriate of the two…

Daywalker.

I am sort of on regular people time now. I don’t know when to do my laundry. And I’m not a fan of traffic.

And I need to get my headlights sorted.

After the wait I was greeted with:

Shoe Shopping

Is mostly rubbish.

A couple of years ago back I was lucky to snag these: pADIDAS1-2553309_pattern_w345a.jpg
on sale for 35$ (in my size!).

They are now worn down to a slick flat surface on the sole, and bits of them are starting to fall off (letting the snow in!). I have tried to replace them off and on all of last year, but have been unable to find anything suitable. I used to wear skate shoes when I wasn’t in boots, but the appeal of them has fallen out of favour lately.

I did go and look at them, but nothing struck my eye. The very features I used to love about them seem to now turn me off (the huge tongue, their massive size). Don’t get me wrong, they are comfy as hell and if i worked a job where I was on my feet most of the time, I would switch, but for my low-impact office job…

i might just order another pair of Gazelles off the net (in my size) – seems like a cop out though. Kind of like eating the same thing everyday – the brilliance of sheels shoe clearance is how you can shop around and try wild ass shit – where is my sense of experimentation?

It’s a shame more time in a day didn’t come in a box…
